Inspired to learn by gazing in wonder at a painting we bought by local artist Jonathan Trim.
I started painting in 2018.
Evening classes. No formal training as such.
My aim is to express energy and movement, and in some way to purvey the emotions of what I see everyday, from the raging stormy skies over the Thames estuary to blissful and serene summer mornings.
I guess you could say I paint the seasons and the weather. The ever changing scenery, greenery, skies and light, time and tide.
I really enjoy ‘throwing paint around’, sometimes literally. I enjoy the energy and the accidents.
